Christmas is on the way!

Travis and I recently pulled out all our Christmas decorations with such excitement, as we had not put up ANY decorations for 3 years. I had visions of a Christmas tree filled with the ornaments that we had collected over the past many years. Travis even had the brilliant idea of a real tree (something we had never done before!). 

But as new pet owners we quickly discovered that our fuzzy new friend had his own ideas for the tree! What he saw was a brand new jungle gym for himself! 

Oh well.... maybe next year!!

Thanksgiving

What a nice Thanksgiving we had. Travis' mom and step-dad came down to Dallas and we had a lovely Thanksgiving and Christmas all rolled into one. 

Fun Visit With Mom!!

Wow..what a fun long weekend with my mom down! As always we stayed busy by taking trips to Grapevine, to check out the shops and the wineries, then we did some shopping, and she even convinced me to do some garage sales, which ended up being super fun! After all that we took a trip to the Texas State Fair! Then on her last day here we cleaned my closet (I didn't want her thinking it was all fun and games in Texas!) 

All in all it was a fabulous visit..and like every time we have visitors I hated to see her leave! 

So there is big news in our house.. we have a new baby..kitty that is! Travis thought that I needed a new friend.. so he surprised me with a trip to the pound and we just had to have this little guy.. with his big blue eyes and fuzzy do!
